B4. A plant
installation trip to Burundi @

Burundi is
located at the central Africa nearby the equator. When
we visited there, it was a good season with mild
climate. |
The altitude
is relatively high, and the Lake Tanganyika can
be called as a natural treasure full of tropical
freshwater fishes. Our working place, the plant is
beside the lake. The lake water evaporates all the
time so that the plant area is wrapped by the water
steam blocking the strong sunlight. Thanks to it, the
area is relatively cool and comfortable. |
Of course,
the supplies are not as plentiful as those developed
countries. Soldiers holding rifles are standing here
and there. However, many engineers from different
counties, including Japanese people, gathered and
worked together.@ |
This time, we met those Viet Nam
people, whom we once worked together with in a plant installation site
of Algeria. Working with different people, talking with each other,
having meals together, are also kinds of special fulfillments for us
during the working period. |
The
day before leaving for Japan, we had a good dinner
party. After that, we luckily encountered a hippo
family including parents and children in the Lake
Tanganyika! The nature is so
wonderful, we think we have responsibility to help
conserve the natural environment! |
|
The Nakayama plant
was exported to Cameroon
before, now was
moved to Burundi. |
